The enterprise value specialists at Ceibass want to remind everyone that the upcoming National Association of Landscape Professionals’ Leaders Forum 2025 is a must-attend event.

“Really, don’t miss it. It’s that valuable. I will be there,” said Tom Fochtman, Ceibass CEO. “Why I go is to encounter top leaders in our industry. Fundamentally, what I notice and observe are their moods, distinctions and practices. These leaders are after it. Said another way, the moods, distinctions and practices of top leaders are different than those of middle of the pack leaders.”

So what are some of the differences? The team at Ceibass provided some insights:

  • The moods of top lawn and landscape professionals include an eagerness to think and act and learn, a passion for the company they are trying to build and an enthusiasm for the work that needs to be done to get there.
  • The distinctions, or the words they use to notice, observe, assess, and design action are at a different level of sophistication. They are up on all of their expenses, where they stand on revenues, what they should and should not be doing with AI, what customers want, where the margins are and where they are not.
  • The practices they employ are deep across the enterprise. They are very much into branding, knowing their competitors, strategic planning, the sales conversations, targeted marketing, employee engagement, customer satisfaction, social media, and being the first in their areas with new offers and new practices out in the field. They are open to new tools and new technologies and want to be the first on their routes to offer them.

“What I know is that being around and engaged with top leaders is a competitive advantage,” added Tom. “These are serious lawn and landscape professionals. Make sure you attend and take it all in.”
