It’s August and the enterprise value specialists at Ceibass want to keep it short and sweet as we all deal with the heat. Here are a few updates and reminders:
Principles Behind Differentiation
The last couple of Ceibass blogs have been dedicated to differentiating your lawn and landscape business from your competitors and why that is important. “There are fundamental economic principles behind differentiation that are important to know and give added weight to its importance,” said Tom Fochtman, Ceibass CEO. “The first is the principle of marginal utility. Meaning that we as consumers assess the value of something based on the differences we perceive between competing products and services. The second is the indifference principle which tells us that the more competing products or services are the same we become indifferent to their value and we seek to differentiate them on price, which drives the price down. Seek to escape indifference by differentiating.”
ELEVATE Yourself and Your Team
Energizing, inspiring, and innovative. The National Association of Landscape Professionals conference and expo ELEVATE is the can’t-miss education and networking experience of the year. It’s designed by and for landscape maintenance, lawn care, design build, irrigation, and horticulture professionals who want to grow their business, stay on top of the latest trends and practices, and connect with the most talented pros in the business. “Networking is key at ELEVATE. If you put the effort forth to attend all the networking events, with the intent of meeting new folks, you have the opportunity to make lifelong relationships,” said Tom Fochtman, Ceibass CEO. “Get ELEVATE on your calendar.” Sept 10 – 13, 2023, Dallas Texas, Gaylord Texan Resort & Conference Center. Give to the Kevin Kehoe Scholarship Fund
In a recent blog, Tom Fochtman, Ceibass CEO, announced that The Kevin Kehoe Foundation has generously pledged $100,000 in matching donations for the NALP scholarship fund in Kevin’s name. ”I want to personally thank those that responded to the blog and gave to the fund,” said Tom. “We are moving towards the goal, and as a reminder, I invite more of you to contribute to the Kevin Kehoe Scholarship Fund. Let’s ensure Kevin’s legacy of education and mentorship continues to flourish, and that we support the bright, emerging talents in our industry.” For more information or to make a contribution, click here.
